Do you have surplus apples or pears? Join us to turn some of the city's abundance into juice - bring your fruit and together we’ll make your juice!
We'll be outside the Left Bank Cider Festival on Saturday 14th October. (You will need to get a ticket to go into the cider festival but the community juicing is free of charge.)
You'll get to take part in the process and of course you're welcome to donate any surplus fruit or juice so that Leeds Urban Harvest can make use of it. You'll get to take part in the whole process: washing, pulverising, pressing, tasting, and bottling.
We will have some glass bottles (750ml) available to buy at cost price (60p) but please bring plenty of bottles with you so that you can easily take your juice home!
If you are planning on coming please register in advance:
Want to volunteer for our juicing sessions?
Join us this autumn to wash, chop and press the surplus apples (and pears) of Leeds to make delicious juice and cider.
It will be a fun, informative and sociable day where you will learn how to make apple juice and craft cider, using the traditional rack-and-cloth method.
We'll be working from 10am - 5pm.
