End of season celebration!

Do you know your plum from your pear?
Your mulberry from your medlar?
Or why you might find Granny Smith and James Grieve hanging out with a Pink Lady?

Whether you do or not, come on down to the Urban Harvest end-of-season celebration quiz night!

Thursday 25th November, from 8pm at the Common Place, Leeds city centre

This season has been absolutely fantastic for Urban Harvest. It's only our first full-on harvesting season, and we've been inundated throughout with a vast abundance of chunky cherries, pleasing plums, awesome apples and pulpy pears - so we'd like to celebrate with a small gathering for all UH's volunteers and supporters, featuring a juicy local food quiz from 9pm!

The night will also feature a debrief / feedback session, from around 8pm - 9pm - so please bring your thoughts about what you liked about Urban Harvest this year: things that went particularly well, things that didn't work so well, suggestions for improvements and new ideas for next season. This would also be a good night to come to if you want to get more involved in organising Urban Harvest - there are you-shaped holes to be filled in the organising group!

There will also be a bar serving local and organic beer, cider, wine, spirits and soft drinks - including Urban Harvest apple juice of course!

If you want to make an apple crumble to share on the night, please get in touch, as we have a few cooking apples left over from the last pick. The Common Place is on Wharf Street, just round the corner from the Corn Exchange; click here for a map.

PS. The small print - the Common Place is a member's club. In order to enjoy the benefits of membership, ie attend this event, you must either join as a member (it's only £2 to join) or be signed in by an existing member. If you have any questions please contact hello[at]leedsurbanharvest[dot]org[dot]uk.
